TRANSPORTATION
By air:
Orange Country/Irvine is served by 3 major airports:
- John Wayne airport (SNA) is the closest and most convenient to UC Irvine. A taxi ride to the hotel or UCI will be approximately $15.00.
- Long Beach Airport (LGB) is approximately 25 minutes from Irvine and features flights from four commercial carriers (Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines, JetBlue Airways, and US Airways). If you are flying from Washington or NYC, JetBlue may be a convenient choice since it flies non-stop to Long Beach Airport. If you are flying to Long Beach and you need ground transportation, please consult the Long Beach Airport page (http://www.longbeach.gov/airport/airline_travelers/transport/shuttle.asp) for shuttle information and taxi fares.
- Los Angeles Airport (LAX) is approximately 40 minutes from UCI (not counting traffic). From LAX you can either take a shuttle to Irvine or rent a car. For more information check out: http://www.lawa.org/welcomelax.aspx

Take 405 South to 73 South.
Exit at Bison Avenue (last exit before toll). Turn left onto Bison. Turn left at Peltason and right at West Peltason. Stay on Peltason past Campus Drive and turn right into the parking lot of University Center (corner of West Peltason and Campus Drive).
HOTEL

UCI PARKING
If you are driving to UCI:
Thursday:
Park in the University Club parking lot (http://www.uclub.uci.edu/Directions.php). Parking at the Club is free but there are only 80 parking spaces. If you arrive at the parking lot and there are no spaces available please proceed to the Anteater Parking Structure. UCI has reciprocal parking with other UC campuses.
Friday:
The Friday conference will be held at the Calit2 Auditorium (for directions http://www.uci.edu/campus_maps.php). The closest parking lot is the Anteater Parking Structure (for directions: http://www.uci.edu/campus_maps.php)
To visit the TLG:
Our office is located at 220 University Tower, 4199 Campus Drive (at the University Center across the street from the UCI Barclay Theater). There is ample parking at the University Center. Please note that some spaces are limited to 45 minutes parking.
